Balancing Acid - Alkaline Intake
Most of us today are very much interested in looking for a perfect diet that will help us lose weight or just for the purpose of having a healthy lifestyle. But, for you to achieve a real healthy lifestyle you must be aware of the acid and alkaline components of the food that you will choose to intake.
A person's acid and alkaline body needs can be determined through the type of his blood. If you are a person that belongs to A and AB blood type you must remember that 60 to 80% of the food that you will eat should be alkaline food, and the remaining 20 to 40% must be the acid food. And if you belong to this O and B blood type the food you should eat must generally consists of meat and dairy products. Well, O blood type must concentrate in meat products, while B blood type should concentrate in dairy products. But, this guide does not mean that you should always consider this, because if you feel some pain in your body that only means that you are an acidic person, so try to lessen the intake of meat and dairy products.
It is good to know the acid - alkaline balance in your body, how are you going to do this? You may know the pH balance in your body by using your saliva or urine to test your acid - alkaline balance. The pH balance generally represents the acid - alkaline in your body, this starts from 0 - 14, 0 determines too acidic, and 14 determines the too much alkaline in a person's body, while 7 is actually its neutral state. If you have a pH balance with 7.4 cancer cells actually become dormant in this state, but if you have pH balance with 8.5 the forming cancer cells will definitely die because more healthy cells will live.
If you will not watch the acid - alkaline components of your body, you will suffer from lots of disease such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, digestive problems and many more. What causes this? Too much acid produces these health problems, and we can prevent these diseases if we will increase the alkaline intake to lower down the acidity in our body. Stress and depression creates acid chemicals in your body, and to lower this down all you have to do is to relax yourself all the time, and find some things that will give you happiness.
There are also charts where you can see the basic categories of food's acid - alkaline content and to give you an idea here are some examples: basically fruits such as bananas, grapes, pears, avocados, melons are some examples that have 80% alkaline content; spinach, potatoes, lettuce, string beans, carrots are some examples of vegetables that have 80% alkaline content. You must also avoid eating meat, fish, eggs, and soft drinks due to its high acid content. Grains, legumes, nuts, and some seeds belong to foods that have mild acid or have 20% acid content.
